Wes Okafor, Owner
I started in this trade in 2016 after watching a crew blow fiberglass over an unsealed attic floor in a Ontario ranch house and thinking, “That’s backwards.” That house was leaking conditioned air through every can light and top plate, and the new insulation was just going to hide the problem. I founded this operation on the sequence we still use: seal first, then insulate. I hold a BPI Building Analyst certification and I’m the one who reviews every blower-door report before it goes to the homeowner. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually restoring a 1978 F-250 that has worse air sealing than most of the attics we fix. I answer my own phone at odd hours, which my wife finds irritating and my customers seem to appreciate.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running attics for seven years, first in San Bernardino County and now here in Pomona. He’s certified in spray-foam application through Demilec and he’s the person we send when a job involves both open-cell foam on the roof deck and dense-pack cellulose in the walls - a combination we see a lot in the 1950s and 1960s additions around Phillips Ranch. Marcus carries a laser-cut acrylic template he made himself for marking stud bays in tight crawl spaces, and he will talk your ear off about vintage synthesizers if you let him. Homeowners in the Lincoln Park area have started requesting him by name.

Elena came to us from a weatherization crew in the Coachella Valley, where she spent four years working in attics that hit 140 degrees by 10 a.m. She knows radiant barrier installation better than anyone in our network, and she’s particularly good at the retrofit jobs common in north Pomona’s mid-century homes, where roof lines are shallow and access hatches were apparently designed by people who never planned to use them. Elena is OSHA-10 certified and she’s the one who trains new hires on proper respirator fit testing. She keeps a detailed log of every squirrel eviction she’s supervised, which she insists is “for liability purposes” but which she also reads from at company dinners.
Darnell J., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phones and schedules the crews, which means he’s the live voice you get when you call (562) 242-7569 at 9 p.m. on a Saturday because your insulation got soaked by a roof leak. He’s been with us since 2019 and he knows which neighborhoods in Pomona have the original R-19 batts that have compressed to R-13, which ones have the vermiculite that needs testing before disturbance, and which building inspectors want the blower-door report submitted with the permit. Darnell is studying for his HERS rater certification and he makes a point of visiting job sites weekly so he’s not just reading notes - he’s seen your actual attic. He also bakes sourdough that he brings to crew meetings, which is the main reason anyone attends.
Jordan K., Apprentice
Jordan joined us in 2023 after two years in residential HVAC and a realization that most of the comfort complaints he was chasing were actually envelope problems, not equipment problems. He’s working through his BPI Envelope Professional certification and currently shadows Marcus on spray-foam jobs and Elena on radiant barrier retrofits. Jordan grew up in a 1948 bungalow near Ganesha Park, the same model he recently air-sealed and insulated for a homeowner on Palomares Street, which gave him an uncomfortable familiarity with how those particular attics are framed. He plays drums in a punk band and has strong opinions about ladder safety that he delivers unsolicited.
